Hello. I have been a teacher at Cambridge Montessori Preschool since 2010

I am passionate about education especially early childhood education as these early years lay the foundation for life-long learning. I have a particular interest in literacy as I believe reading opens the way to all knowledge and higher-level thinking.

Come and join us as we help create some of the story of your child’s life together. Together we can encourage and feed curiosity and wonder in the tamariki creating competent and confident lifelong learners.

I am married to Mark who is a Banker and part of Scouts NZ (yes I am a Scouting widow), with two grown children: Tim and Emma.

My own children did not have the benefit of a Montessori pre-school education, but they are the reason I found Montessori. When my eldest was at Middle School there was no before or after school care which I needed as I was working on a rotating roster in childcare. A job came up at Montessori working school hours, term time only, perfect. Times have changed but I am still here, and Montessori philosophy is where my heart is creating independent, lifelong learners with tidy habits of mind.
